Brace+Hop for Bridge & Pillar

The “Brace+Hop” drill trains players to uncoil their hips to drive their hands. A partner will apply pressure backwards forcing the player to brace+hop and uncoil their hips.

Fit to Finish Drill

The Fit to Finish drill reinforces players to close and climb with their hips after contact. Developing and training this skill combats the instinctual response of taking a long “greedy” step after contact.

Launch Drill (Lev-Cuff)

The “Launch Drill” is a Sharpen Drill that gives instant feedback to whether a player is properly uncoiling their hips.  

Level 1 Contact (Fits)

Tip of the Spear teaches three distinct fits for 1 on 1 contact on the line of scrimmage and in space. This video overviews the Bridge, Pillar and Buckle fits.
